Keenan Holt Golf Academy

Keenan grew up learning about golf from his dad at the age of three in Durango, Colorado, and by ten years old he was competing in tournaments. An accomplished junior player, collegiate player, and professional, Keenan is now a highly skilled instructor. With a comfortable atmosphere, Keenan takes an integrated approach to instruction, as no two golfers are the same. Addressing the full swing, short game, putting, practice routines course management and the mental aspect of the game, you are sure to see your scores improve and your love of the game grow. Keenan’s experience, patience, and great communication will personalize instruction and accommodate many different learning styles. Through playing and teaching, Keenan has met so many wonderful people, and enjoys sharing his passion for golf.

Golf is deceivingly simple. It boils down to fundamentals and allowing your body to react.

There are an endless number of things out of your control that contribute to the complexity of the game, such as weather, course conditions, bounces and other outside factors. I believe fundamentals are the foundation for every golfer’s unique ability to swing a club. Learning and practicing grip, posture, alignment, and ball position consistently, will help every player lower their scores.  

In order for my instruction to be effective, I consider each player’s skill level, personality, learning style, and goals. I will evaluate your techniques to build on what you do well, and to strengthen areas in need of improvement. I address full swing, short game, putting, practice routines, course management, and mental aspects. I will rely on my knowledge of the game, playing experience, and ability to adapt my communication style to fit the needs of each player.
